The memorial was dedicated Monday, May 11, 2009 after over a decade of hard work, planning and fundraising. However, the need continues. Funds are still needed.

As the foundation and frame for the curved walls of the Memorial are being created, smooth, black granite is being prepared for the etching of 130 names. This project has been many years in coming, and those being honored by it are not forgotten. We will continue to post images that will show the Memorial's progress. Construction is expected to be completed this fall.

Planning for the Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial began several years ago, and two companies have been with us throughout, helping to shape the design and working with us to make it a reality. Our many thanks to Davis Design, for their planning of the Memorial, and to Kingery Construction, who has helped with planning and will construct the Memorial.
